About Bodrum Harbour at Sunset

Bodrum has been a harbour town since ancient times, and the historian Herodotus, often called the father of history, was born in Halicarnassus in the 5th century BC. Its shipbuilders are known for the gulet, a wooden sailing boat with a broad hull, and today many of them carry visitors on cruises along the Turkish coast. Of the Mausoleum itself only foundations, a few columns and fragments remain, a short walk from the harbour; its best sculptures are in the British Museum in London. In this aerial photo evening light falls on the castle and on rows of masts in the marina.

Puzzle tip: the rows of masts and the golden castle are the clearest parts; the distant hills and sky come last.
