About Burg Eltz in the Morning Fog

Burg Eltz stands on a rock in a deep, wooded side valley of the Moselle, in western Germany. It has belonged to the same family, the Counts of Eltz, for more than 850 years, and unlike most castles on the Rhine and Moselle it was never destroyed. Its towers, half-timbered upper floors and steep roofs were added over five centuries, so the castle looks almost like a small town. In this photo the castle rises out of the morning fog at the end of the stone bridge that leads to its gate.

Puzzle tip: the castle and the stone bridge are the clearest parts; the grey fog and the sky come last.
