About Canoe at River Number 2 Beach

River Number 2 Beach, about 30 kilometres from Freetown, lies where a small river flows out of the forested hills of the peninsula into the Atlantic. The beach is run by the local community, and fishermen paddle visitors up the river by canoe into the mangroves and forest. Behind it rise the Lion Mountains, which gave Sierra Leone its name. This photo shows a wooden canoe on the white sand, with the green mountains behind.

Puzzle tip: start with the canoe and its colours, then the green mountains, and the sand, the water and the sky last.
