About Chalets in the Bernese Oberland

Wooden chalets dot the green slopes of the Bernese Oberland, the mountainous south of the canton of Bern, near Interlaken. The town's name means "between the lakes", as it sits between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz. In early summer, farmers lead their cows up to the high pastures, often decorated with flowers and large bells, and bring them back down in autumn. The milk from these alpine meadows is used to make cheeses such as Emmental and Gruyère.

Puzzle tip: the snowy peaks and the sky are the easiest part; the chalets and their dark roofs are best sorted by size.
