About Coral Reef along the Green Coast, Kauaʻi

Coral reefs line much of Kauaʻi's coast, breaking the force of the waves before they reach the beaches. Hawaii's reefs are home to many fish, corals and other sea creatures found nowhere else on Earth, because the islands are so far from any continent. From above, the reef shows as a band of lighter water, with the white line of breaking surf at its outer edge and green hills rising behind the shore.

Puzzle tip: the white surf on the reef is the clearest line; the green hills and the clouds come next.
