About Domes of Fabédougou near Banfora

The Domes of Fabédougou lie a few kilometres north of Banfora, in the green southwest of Burkina Faso. They are rounded hills of sandstone, shaped by rain and wind into shapes that look like beehives or giant loaves of bread, with deep cracks and narrow passages between them. The layers in the rock show how the sand was laid down long ago. The site is close to the Karfiguela waterfalls, and many visitors see both on the same day. This photo shows the domes rising above the bushes.

Puzzle tip: start with the striped domes and their dark cracks, then the green bushes, and the sky last.
