About Gorge of Mosi-oa-Tunya, Livingstone

Mosi-oa-Tunya, "the smoke that thunders", is the local Kololo-Lozi name for Victoria Falls and for the national park around it on the Zambian side, near the town of Livingstone. The falls pour into the First Gorge, a crack in the basalt so narrow that visitors can stand on the opposite cliff and look straight across at the falling water. Below the falls, the Zambezi zigzags through a chain of deep gorges that the river has cut over many thousands of years. In this photo a wooden walkway runs along the green edge opposite the white cascades.

Puzzle tip: start with the white water and the green edge; the dark rock wall in the middle is the hardest part.
