About Houses on a Hillside, Rio de Janeiro

Rio de Janeiro is a city of steep hills, and many of them are covered with communities of houses known as favelas. About one in five people in Rio live in them. Most homes were built by the families themselves, room by room and floor by floor, so they climb the slopes in a patchwork of brick, colour and rooftops, often with some of the best views of the city. They are also lively neighbourhoods, closely tied to the music and dance of Rio, from samba to funk.

Puzzle tip: the green forest at the top and the blue sky are the easiest parts; the houses need patience, so sort them by colour.
