About Hozomon Gate of Senso-ji, Tokyo

Senso-ji in Asakusa is Tokyo's oldest temple. According to legend, two fishermen pulled a small golden statue of Kannon, the goddess of mercy, from the Sumida River in 628, and the temple was built to house it. Visitors reach the main hall through two great gates. This photo shows the inner one, the Hozomon or Treasure-House Gate, rebuilt in 1964 after the war, with its vermilion pillars, tiled double roof and huge red lantern in the middle.

Puzzle tip: start with the big lantern and the red pillars, then the grey roofs, and finish with the paving and the sky.
