About La Major Cathedral, Marseille

The Cathedral of Sainte-Marie-Majeure, known as La Major, stands beside the harbour of Marseille. Built between 1852 and 1896 in a Romano-Byzantine style, it is striped in green and white stone and crowned with domes, and it is one of the largest cathedrals built in France since the Middle Ages. Next to it survives part of the smaller medieval cathedral it replaced.

Puzzle tip: the striped stone and the domes give lots of detail; the sky comes last.
