About Natural Arch in the Rock Islands, Palau

The Rock Islands are about 445 limestone islands scattered across the southern lagoon of Palau, between Koror and Peleliu. They are old coral reefs lifted above the sea, and at the waterline waves, sea urchins and other small creatures slowly eat away the rock, giving many islands a mushroom shape. In 2012 the Rock Islands Southern Lagoon became a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This photo shows one of the best-known sights, a natural arch of grey limestone topped with green forest, standing in calm blue water.

Puzzle tip: start with the pale arch and the green trees on top, then the calm blue water and the sky with light clouds.
