About Natural Rock Arch on Aruba’s Coast

Waves and wind have shaped arches in the limestone along Aruba's exposed coast. This photograph shows one of the natural openings above clear blue water. This is the Natural Bridge area on the island's north-east coast, where the best-known arch collapsed in 2005 and smaller ones, such as the Baby Bridge, still stand. The rocky shore looks very different from the calm beaches for which Aruba is often known. The north-east coast faces the trade winds, so the sea there is much rougher than off the beaches of the west.

Puzzle tip: build the curved rock edge first; the pale foam helps separate the darker water.
