About Palm Trees on a Caribbean Beach, Limón

The Caribbean province of Limón has a culture of its own within Costa Rica. In the 1870s workers from Jamaica and other islands came to build the railway from the coast to San José, and many stayed to grow bananas and cacao. Their descendants keep an English-based creole language, calypso music and dishes such as rice and beans cooked in coconut milk. Long beaches backed by coconut palms stretch along the coast between the port of Limón and the border with Panama. This photo shows palms leaning over a quiet beach and clear water.

Puzzle tip: start with the palm trunks and leaves against the sky, then fill the sand and the clear water.
