About Pavilion on the Water, Ninh Binh

The province of Ninh Binh, south of Hanoi, is often called Ha Long Bay on land: steep limestone peaks covered in forest rise straight out of flat rice fields, rivers and ponds. In the tenth century the town of Hoa Lu, hidden among these hills, was the first capital of an independent Vietnam. Rivers here run through caves under the mountains, and visitors explore them in small rowing boats. The area of Trang An, with its peaks, caves and temples, has been a World Heritage Site since 2014. Here a pavilion with curved roofs stands on the water below the cliffs.

Puzzle tip: start with the pavilion and its reflection; the green cliffs and the water take more patience.
