About Ponte Sisto over the Tiber, Rome

Ponte Sisto crosses the Tiber between central Rome and the Trastevere neighbourhood. Pope Sixtus IV had the bridge built for the Jubilee of 1475, providing another route across a river that has shaped the city since ancient times. Its stone arches include a distinctive round opening above the central pier, often described as the bridge's eye. This photograph follows the blue river towards the crossing, with trees and riverside buildings framing the arches and making the bridge a clear focal point in the landscape.

Puzzle tip: match the bridge arches and round opening first, then separate the blue water from the green riverbanks.
