About Pumpkins at Cider Hill Farm, Amesbury

Cider Hill Farm lies in Amesbury, in the north-eastern corner of Massachusetts near the New Hampshire border. In autumn families come here to pick apples and choose pumpkins straight from the field. Pumpkins are native to the Americas, and Indigenous peoples grew them for thousands of years before Europeans arrived. In this photo, ripe pumpkins lie on the grass between a dirt track and a tall row of dry corn, ready to be picked for Halloween.

Puzzle tip: start with the bright pumpkins in front, then fill in the corn stalks and the grass behind them.
