About Ruins of Carthage, Tunisia

Carthage was founded by Phoenician settlers in the 9th century BC and became a great sea power that fought Rome in the Punic Wars. The Romans destroyed it in 146 BC, then rebuilt it as one of the largest cities of their empire. Its ruins, including baths, villas and temples, lie among the suburbs of modern Tunis and are a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Puzzle tip: the broken columns stand out against the blue sky; the stones need patience.
