About Saluting Battery over the Grand Harbour, Valletta

The Grand Harbour is one of the finest natural harbours in the Mediterranean, a deep inlet guarded by Valletta on one side and the Three Cities on the other. In 1565 the Knights of St John and the Maltese held out here for almost four months against a huge Ottoman fleet in the Great Siege. Below the Upper Barrakka Gardens lies the Saluting Battery, where a cannon is fired every day at noon and at four o'clock, as it once was to mark the time for ships. This photo shows the row of cannons looking out over the harbour.

Puzzle tip: start with the black cannons in front, then build the stone forts and the harbour water behind them.
