About Shwedagon Pagoda, Yangon

The Shwedagon Pagoda rises about 100 metres above Yangon on Singuttara Hill and is the most sacred Buddhist site in Myanmar. Legend says it holds eight hairs of the Buddha, brought here by two merchant brothers. The great stupa is covered in gold plates, and its crown is set with thousands of diamonds and other gems, with a large diamond at the very top. Around its base, a wide marble terrace is crowded with smaller shrines, pavilions and statues, where pilgrims walk clockwise around the stupa.

Puzzle tip: the gold stupa is the centre of the picture; the smaller shrines around it are easier once it is in place.
