About State Hermitage Museum, Saint Petersburg

The State Hermitage Museum occupies the Winter Palace and neighbouring buildings in central Saint Petersburg. Its collections began under Empress Catherine II in the eighteenth century and now cover art and objects from many periods. The pale green and white palace façade faces Palace Square, where visitors can see its long rows of windows and columns. This photograph focuses on the building beneath a blue sky. The roofline and decorative details offer clear starting points, while the repeating windows make the middle of the puzzle more challenging.

Puzzle tip: assemble the roofline and columns first, then compare the repeating windows.
