About Stilt House in Bocas del Toro

Bocas del Toro is an archipelago in north-western Panama, close to the border with Costa Rica. Its main town, on Isla Colón, grew around 1900 as a base for the banana trade, and many of its wooden houses were built on stilts over the water and painted in bright colours. Water taxis link the islands, with their mangroves, coral reefs and small red poison dart frogs.

Puzzle tip: the yellow house is the centre; the jetty and the water come next.
