About Tea Gardens of Sreemangal

Sreemangal, in the Sylhet Division of north-east Bangladesh, is known as the tea capital of the country. The first commercial tea garden in what is now Bangladesh was opened near Sylhet in 1854, and today the low hills around Sreemangal are covered with tea bushes, neatly clipped to waist height so that the leaves can be picked by hand. Tall shade trees are planted among them to protect the tea from the strong sun. In this photo, a cyclist rides along a quiet road between the gardens in the early morning.

Puzzle tip: the road and the cyclist are a clear start; the rows of tea bushes are easier to sort by their light and shade.
