About The Cliffs of the Lysefjord

The walls of the Lysefjord are made of hard granite and gneiss, polished smooth by the ice that filled the valley thousands of years ago. When the glaciers melted, the sea flowed in, and the valley became a fjord. Today the cliffs are home to eagles and wild goats, and in the evening they glow pink and orange in the low sun. Climbers, hikers and BASE jumpers come from all over the world. In this photo a great cliff of rippled rock rises above the calm, dark water of the fjord, with misty hills stretching away into the distance.

Puzzle tip: start with the rippled rock of the big cliff, then the hills behind, and finish with the dark water and the pale sky.
