About The Plateau of Preikestolen from Above

Above Preikestolen the mountain rises a little higher, and a short climb up the rocks behind the plateau gives a view down onto its flat top. From here you can see how the block sticks out from the mountainside, with the crack that may one day split it off, although geologists say it is not expected to fall any time soon. The Lysefjord is about forty-two kilometres long, and its name means the light fjord, perhaps from the pale granite of its walls. In this photo the cracked stone platform juts out above the fjord, with green hills and water beyond.

Puzzle tip: start with the pale stone platform and its cracks, then the green hills, and finish with the fjord and the sky.
