About The Pont Alexandre III over the Seine, Paris

The Pont Alexandre III is often called the most beautiful bridge in Paris. It was built for the World's Fair of 1900 and named after the Russian Tsar Alexander III, to celebrate the new alliance between France and Russia; his son, Tsar Nicholas II, laid its first stone in 1896. The bridge crosses the Seine in a single low steel arch about a hundred and seven metres long, kept low so as not to block the view of the Invalides from the Champs-Élysées. Its four tall pillars carry gilded statues of winged horses. In this photo its decorated arch curves over the river in warm evening light.

Puzzle tip: start with the gilded statue on the pillar, then the lamps and the arch, and finish with the trees, the water and the sky.
