About To Sua Ocean Trench, Lotofaga

To Sua Ocean Trench lies in the village of Lotofaga on the south coast of Upolu. Its name is usually translated as giant swimming hole: it is a round pit about 30 metres deep, formed when the roof of an old lava tube collapsed. Seawater flows in through an underground passage from the ocean nearby, so the pool rises and falls with the tide. Swimmers climb down a long wooden ladder to a small platform. This photo looks down from the rim onto the green water, the ladder and the ferns hanging from the walls.

Puzzle tip: start with the wooden ladder and the platform, then the green water and the ferns all around the rim.
