About Río Celeste Waterfall, Costa Rica

In Tenorio Volcano National Park, in northern Costa Rica, the Río Celeste flows sky blue. Its colour appears at a spot where two clear streams meet: minerals from the volcano form tiny particles in the water that scatter sunlight and make it look blue. The river's waterfall drops about 30 metres into a pool of the same colour. A local legend says God rinsed his brush here after painting the sky.

Puzzle tip: the blue pool is the centre; the white waterfall and the green forest come next.
