About Shirakawa-go in Autumn

The thatched roofs of Shirakawa-go are rebuilt every few decades, and the work is still done together by the villagers in a tradition of mutual help called yui; a single roof can need the hands of a hundred people. The village of Ogimachi, the largest part of Shirakawa-go, has more than a hundred of these houses, and some are now museums, inns and cafes. In this autumn view the valley glows red and orange, with snowy peaks rising beyond the hills.

Puzzle tip: sort the pieces into village, autumn trees and mountains first, then build the valley from the bottom up.
