About Chenonceau from the Air

Seen from above, Chenonceau looks like a long white ship anchored across the river Cher. The main building stands on the piers of an old mill on the north bank, and the gallery stretches from it to the south bank. Around it lie formal gardens: one created for Diane de Poitiers and another for Catherine de' Medici, still planted with flowers and clipped hedges today. This aerial photo shows the château crossing the dark green river between thick forests, with the garden beds laid out beside it.

Puzzle tip: start with the white château and its gallery, then the gardens, and finish with the river and the dark green forest.
