About Vianden Castle above the Valley

Vianden Castle stands on a hill above the town of Vianden in northeastern Luxembourg. Its medieval core was expanded over centuries, then fell into disrepair before a major restoration. Today its halls and towers help tell the history of the region, while its silhouette dominates the valley. The photograph shows pale castle walls surrounded by wooded green hills. The French writer Victor Hugo stayed in Vianden in 1871, and the house where he lived is now a museum.

Puzzle tip: find the castle roofs first and use the hillside shadows to sort the trees.
