About Ceiling of the Sistine Chapel

Michelangelo painted the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel between 1508 and 1512, working on scaffolding high above the floor. He considered himself a sculptor rather than a painter, yet he filled more than 500 square metres with scenes from the Book of Genesis, from the Creation of Adam to the story of Noah, surrounded by prophets and sibyls. The chapel is where cardinals gather in conclave to elect a new pope, sending up white smoke when they have chosen. A long restoration from 1980 to 1994 brought back the bright original colours. In this photo the painted figures and frames of the ceiling fill the whole picture.

Puzzle tip: use the painted frames between the scenes as your grid; then fill in the figures one by one.
