About Blue Mosque of Mazar-i-Sharif

The Blue Mosque in the centre of Mazar-i-Sharif is also called the Shrine of Hazrat Ali, because many Afghans believe that Ali, the cousin of the Prophet Muhammad, is buried here; the city's name means "Tomb of the Exalted". The present building dates from the late 15th century and is covered in turquoise, blue and white tiles. Thousands of white doves live in its courtyard, and a local saying holds that any grey dove that joins them turns white within forty days. Every spring the shrine is the centre of the city's Nowruz New Year celebrations.

Puzzle tip: the patterned tiles look alike, so use the domes and the edge of the sky to place them.
