About Holy Spirit Cathedral, Minsk

Holy Spirit Cathedral stands in Minsk’s historic Upper Town. The building began as part of a seventeenth-century convent and later became an Orthodox cathedral. Its white Baroque facade and two towers are among the familiar features of the Belarusian capital’s old centre. In the photograph the bright cathedral is framed by nearby city buildings. Inside is the revered Minsk icon of the Mother of God, which according to legend floated to the city along the Svislach River.

Puzzle tip: find the white towers first and use the darker surrounding buildings as a border.
