About Reine and Its Mountains, Lofoten

Reine is a fishing village in the Lofoten Islands, far north of the Arctic Circle, set on small islands joined by bridges below sharp granite peaks. Lofoten has been a centre of cod fishing for more than a thousand years: every winter the cod come from the Barents Sea to spawn here, and the fish are hung to dry on wooden racks to make stockfish, which is sent all over the world. Many of the red fishermen's cabins, called rorbuer, are now rented to visitors. In this photo the village lines the shore of a calm bay below grey mountains and a cloudy sky.

Puzzle tip: start with the red and white houses on the shore, then the mountains, and finish with the calm water and the clouds.
