About Rooftops and Church Ruins of Visby

Inside its walls, Visby is a maze of narrow cobbled lanes, old merchant houses with stepped gables and roses climbing over the doors. In its golden age the town had more than a dozen stone churches, and most of them now stand as roofless ruins between the houses, used for concerts and summer weddings. Every August, during Medieval Week, the town fills with knights, markets and people in historic costume. This photo looks out over the red roofs and green gardens of the old town towards the ruin of a church and the sea beyond.

Puzzle tip: start with the church ruin and the red roofs, then the green trees in front and the sea and sky at the top.
