About Telč Reflected in a Pond

Telč is a small town in southern Moravia, surrounded by fishponds that once protected it like a moat. After a fire in 1530, its lord, Zachariáš of Hradec, had the town rebuilt in the Renaissance style, and its long market square is lined with arcaded houses with colourful gables, each one different. His castle, at the end of the square, is a Renaissance palace with painted ceilings. The houses, church towers and castle are reflected in the still water of the ponds around the town, as in this photo. Telč has been a World Heritage Site since 1992.

Puzzle tip: start with the church towers and the houses; their reflection in the pond is easier once the town is done.
