About Temple of Zeus, Cyrene

The Temple of Zeus at Cyrene, begun in the 6th century BC, was one of the largest Greek temples ever built, even bigger than the Parthenon in Athens. It was damaged in a Jewish revolt in AD 115, rebuilt by the Romans, and later toppled by an earthquake. In the 20th century archaeologists set many of its huge Doric columns upright again. The ruins of Cyrene stand near the town of Shahhat, in the Green Mountain region of eastern Libya. This photo shows the rebuilt columns under a blue sky.

Puzzle tip: start with the tall stone columns, then the fallen blocks around them, and the grass and the sky last.
