El Salvador is the smallest country in Central America and is often called the land of volcanoes. Its Pacific coast is famous for surfing. Our El Salvador puzzles show volcanoes, crater lakes, the coast and a painted mountain town.

Lake Coatepeque, El Salvador
Izalco Volcano erupted almost continuously for about two centuries, glowing so brightly at night that sailors called it the lighthouse of the Pacific. Beside it, Santa Ana Volcano, the highest in the country, hides a turquoise acid lake in its crater, and Lake Coatepeque fills a huge old volcanic caldera nearby.
On the coast, beaches such as El Zonte draw surfers from around the world to their long waves. In the mountain town of Alegría, walls are painted with colourful murals and flowers.
