About Mount Ararat over Yerevan

Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world: the fortress of Erebuni was founded here in 782 BC. Much of the centre was rebuilt in the 20th century in pink and orange volcanic stone called tuff, which gives the city its warm colours. On clear days snow-capped Mount Ararat, a national symbol of Armenia, rises above the skyline from across the border in Turkey.

Puzzle tip: begin with the two snowy peaks of Ararat; the rooftops below come easier once the round Opera House in the middle is in place.
