About Mount Fuji from Oshino Hakkai

Oshino Hakkai is a small village at the foot of Mount Fuji, famous for its eight ponds of spring water. The water comes from rain and snow that fell on the mountain and seeped for many years through layers of volcanic rock, which filter it until it is crystal clear. The ponds are part of the Fujisan World Heritage Site, listed as a sacred place and a source of art. In this photo the snowy cone of Mount Fuji rises behind thatched farm buildings under a deep blue sky.

Puzzle tip: start with the snowy peak of Mount Fuji, then the thatched roofs, and finish with the ground and the sky.
