About Uffizi Gallery Courtyard, Florence

The Uffizi was built in the 16th century by Giorgio Vasari as offices, or uffici, for the Medici rulers of Florence. Its two long wings enclose a narrow courtyard that leads to the River Arno. Today it is one of the most famous art museums in the world, with works by Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo and Raphael, and statues of famous Florentines stand in niches along the courtyard.

Puzzle tip: the arches and columns repeat along both sides, so use the light and shadow to place each piece.
