About Cape Manzamo, Okinawa

Cape Manzamo is a cliff of coral limestone on the west coast of Okinawa's main island, whose tip has been worn by the waves into the shape of an elephant's trunk. Its name means a meadow where ten thousand can sit: according to tradition, an eighteenth-century king of Ryukyu said that the grassy clifftop had room for ten thousand people. Below the cliff the sea is clear enough to see the coral reef. In this photo two kayaks paddle through the turquoise water beside the rock.

Puzzle tip: start with the rocky cliff and its arch, then the green top, and sort the sea by shade from turquoise to deep blue.
