About Great Buddha of Kamakura

The Great Buddha of Kamakura is a bronze statue of Amida Buddha at Kotoku-in temple, about eleven metres tall and cast in the thirteenth century. It once sat inside a large wooden hall, but the hall was destroyed by storms and a tsunami, and since the end of the fifteenth century the Buddha has sat in the open air. Visitors can even step inside the hollow statue. Kamakura, a seaside town south of Yokohama, was the seat of Japan's first shogunate from 1185.

Puzzle tip: start with the green bronze figure, then the stone base and the trees, and leave the clear blue sky for last.
