About Ladder into To Sua Ocean Trench, Upolu

To Sua is one of two large holes in the ground close to the shore at Lotofaga, set in a garden looked after by the village, which charges a small entry fee. The holes are linked to each other and to the sea by tunnels in the volcanic rock, and the water inside is fresh and clear because the ocean flushes it with every tide. Samoans have swum here for generations, and today it is one of the best-known places in the country. In this photo a ladder leads down the mossy rock wall into bright turquoise water.

Puzzle tip: start with the ladder and the turquoise water, then build the mossy rock walls and the plants at the top.
