About Palm Trees on the Shore at Maxixe

Maxixe is a busy town on the western shore of Inhambane Bay, on the main road along the coast of southern Mozambique. Across the bay lies Inhambane, one of the oldest towns in the country: Vasco da Gama stopped here in 1498 and called the region "Terra de Boa Gente", the land of good people. Small motorboats and traditional sailing dhows carry passengers between the two towns in about twenty minutes. At low tide the water draws back far from the shore, leaving boats on the wet sand. In this photo tall coconut palms rise above the beach and low buildings under a bright, cloudy sky.

Puzzle tip: the palm trees are the place to start; the white clouds and the blue sky are the hardest part.
