About Tadjoura between Sea and Mountains

Tadjoura, the white city of Djibouti, is squeezed between the sea and the rugged mountains of the Goda massif, whose higher slopes hold the Day Forest, a rare patch of juniper woodland in a desert country. The town has seven mosques, and its low houses and palm trees line the curving bay. Afar nomads come down from the mountains to sell goats and buy supplies in its market. This photo shows the fishing village by the water, with boats in front and bare mountains behind.

Puzzle tip: start with the boats and the houses, then the brown mountains, and the water and the sky last.
