Uganda, in East Africa, was once called the Pearl of Africa for its green hills, lakes and forests. It lies on the shores of Lake Victoria, where the River Nile begins its long journey north. Our Uganda puzzle shows one of its most precious animals: a mountain gorilla.
About half of all the mountain gorillas in the world live in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a steep, misty rainforest in the south-west of the country. Gorillas live in family groups led by a large male called a silverback, after the grey hair on his back, and visitors can spend one hour with a group accompanied by rangers.
